A blessed and merry Christmas to all of you in the Faith. Climate Crisis. Action community! May you experience the hope, peace, joy, and love of God in the Earth community this season.

This week and next I’m on Christmas break with my family; I hope you can take time for rest and renewal, too. I have scheduled a message for Epiphany (January 6), which will arrive in your inbox on Friday, January 3. I will return with a new essay on Friday, January 10. This glass one is made by my mother!

This is a miniature crèche picked up when I was in Cali, Colombia in October. In the background is an Inírida flower, native to Colombia.

The crèche my husband has had since he was young. It is always the first we put out. Its beauty lies in its carved simplicity.
